Conditions We Treat

We diagnose and treat TMJ disorders, headaches, facial pain, nerve pain, and sleep-related breathing disorders.

Jaw pain, clicking, limited mouth opening, locking, facial pain, and neck tension may be signs of a TMJ disorder. We diagnose and treat disorders involving the jaw joints, muscles, bite, and surrounding structures.

Tight, aching muscles in the jaw, face, temples, neck, or shoulders are often caused by myofascial pain and trigger points. Symptoms may include facial pain, jaw fatigue, neck pain, and muscle tenderness.

We diagnose and manage nerve-related facial pain including trigeminal neuralgia, burning mouth syndrome, neuropathic pain, post-traumatic nerve injury, and lingering pain after dental treatment.

Chronic headaches and migraines are often linked to TMJ disorders, jaw clenching, muscle tension, nerve pain, or sleep disorders. We evaluate migraine, tension-type headache, and other chronic headache conditions.

Jaw Clenching & Teeth Grinding

Chronic clenching and teeth grinding (bruxism) may contribute to jaw pain, headaches, worn teeth, muscle tension, facial pain, and TMJ disorders. Symptoms may worsen during stress or sleep and can lead to tooth wear, jaw fatigue, and morning soreness.

We evaluate snoring and sleep-related breathing disorders with home sleep testing and oral appliance therapy. Treatment can help improve sleep quality, reduce snoring, and decrease related jaw pain and headaches.
