What Is Sleep Apnea — and Why It Matters?

Obstructive sleep apnea (OSA) happens when your airway becomes blocked during sleep, causing you to stop breathing briefly — sometimes hundreds of times per night. You might not remember it, but your body does. This decrease in oxygen causes tremendous stress on your body which over time can lead to significant issues.

Common signs to watch out for include:

  • Loud, frequent snoring

  • Gasping or choking during sleep

  • Feeling tired all the time, even after a full night’s rest

  • Morning headaches or dry mouth

  • Trouble focusing, mood swings, or memory issues

Untreated sleep apnea puts stress on your heart and brain — increasing your risk of high blood pressure, stroke, weight gain, and more.

A Simple Way to Get Answers: Home Sleep Testing

We make the process easy as:

  1. Get an in-office evaluation with Dr. Sami

  2. Take home our simple easy sleep test (no sleeping in a sleep center with lots of diode's attachments)

  3. Fabricate and refine your custom sleep apnea prevention oral appliance

You’ll wear a small, comfortable device (Z-machine Synergy) while you sleep in your own bed at home. We’ll review the results and determine if you have sleep apnea that could benefit from our OSA appliances or another sleep-related breathing issue.
